Airbrush Makeup
With wedding season just around the corner, many brides-to-be in Toronto are found deeply engrossed in checking off stuff from their wedding to-do list. With bridal makeup a big concern, most brides to-be visit different wedding make-up artists and wedding hair artists to find the artist who can give them their desired look and with whom they are most comfortable with.
But, there is one big question that troubles a lot of brides-to-be – what make-up should they opt for? Traditional or air brush? Since, the latter is a relatively new technique, a lot of brides tend to choose it without realizing the consequences it carries with itself, but not anymore because today we are discussing nothing but the pros and cons of using Air Brush makeup on your Wedding Day!
Pros
- It Lasts Longer
Since most air brush makeup products are silicone based, they last for a long time. Longer than traditional makeup, air brush makes up can out last heat, humidity, and oily skin.
- Flawless Finish
Air brush makeup is advised by wedding makeup artists because it applies evenly creating a very natural and subtle finish. Thus, you no longer have to worry about your makeup getting flaky while taking pictures.
- Minimal Makeup
We often see it during mobile makeup tutorials that makeup artists pop one layer on another, mixing concealers, foundations, correctors and what not – but with airbrush makeup and spray technique a minimal amount of makeup goes a long way.
- Easy To Layer
If you are someone who needs full coverage makeup, then you can surely opt for layers with air brush makeup as well, however the benefit with layering here is that each layer gets dried up soon so you no longer have to wait for the first layer to set to start the next.
- Classic Stencils
Guess what? You can get that perfect wing, cat eye, and even the cheekbone contour because airbrushes come with precise stencils!
Cons
- Not a variety of shades available
There is a very limited range of shades available when it comes to foundation and other makeup variants such as lip tint, eyeshadows and so on.
- Can be flaky
While it is true that airbrush makeup gives a flawlessly smooth finish but the truth is that if you have dry skin, air brush makeup will only make it drier resulting in flaky makeup.
- Hard to blend
Once the makeup dries, there is no coming back; there is no blending or filling up, so it is best for the brides to choose wedding makeup artist who is qualified enough to do the makeup.
- Expensive
While most makeup artists charge more airbrush makeup, so it falls pretty hard in the pockets of the bride. It is however still worth a try for your special day!
